Transfer to Cafayate and rest of day at leisure.
We gradually ascend into the Puna highlands with its bewildering landscapes.
Embedded between amazing volcanic cones and sand dunes we explore the pumice field, locally known as the “Campo de Piedra Pómez”.
The massif Antofalla volcanic complex will guide the expedition to Arizaro salt lake and Tolar Grande.
The day expedition will climb up to abandoned railway stations and sulfur mines for breathtaking panoramic views with the “lord of the Andes”, the majestic Llullaillaco volcano towering over the scenery.
Transfer back to Salta.
