This small mountain town, located at the foot of the Fitz Roy massif, is known all over the world for its excellent trekking conditions.
El Chaltén invites you to walk through the forest listening to the birds and enjoying the pure, cold air blowing in your face. The numerous paths lead to breathtaking panoramic views or to lost lagoons of clear waters surrounded by monumental granite walls and crowned by glaciers and snowy peaks.
The trails have good signage and range in difficulty from easy 2 hour walks to demanding full day treks.
